Benefits - ‘Taking away the implementation pain’
- Access without wait. Avoid lengthy standardization procedures & we don’t know what are the really useful platform APIs anyway at this point
- Capitalizing on Java environment and deployment
- Carriers are familiar with the Java security model. Coming up with a new security model would be hard for adoption.
